Song: Frog - You Know I'm Down
howdy platers!
there’s something in the air these days. a muted, spreading consciousness that envelops us in everything we do and everything we say. i think you can feel it too. something ticking and turning for the better against overwhelming odds, and I think we might be the ones powering the machine.
and look i know its february already but 2025! year of love! this is the year! this is it!
i know it is because it has to be. so plot your next actions with this in mind. love and be loved. dance like the hills are on fire. leave it all on the table.
why waste time??? we only have so many days left!
hold onto something fragile at the end of everything, and be sure to tightly cup your hands to catch it all.
the future we knew would arrive has come, and sits before us now as the present.
waste no further moment. 🏀⬆️🔝
fuck em up, platenation.
Song: Frog - JUST USE YR HIPS VAR. VI
Heya platers, happy saturday.
Hope you’re getting in your necessary time for mindful interstate transversal; living for the experience and the hallowed byproduct that results. The subtle work of proficient plateflickery, and the internal bounty to be uncovered from a devoted inquisitor. Each man a great ocean, and each plate a compass.
We live in extraordinary times in these united states, and it means something special to derive a valuable lesson from the meniality of the moments between our incredibly fast paced lives. Moments we wouldn’t think would otherwise matter. Time between time.
This is where the true lessons are to be found, and where practiced doctrine replaces the conscious mind. The open road creates mental absence and invokes repetition of internalized mantra. The malleability of mind and mechanism. This is the environment in which we excel. Platewatchers, unlike that of the general public, are spiritual knowers, and practitioners of a righteous cause.
It is in this moment, surrounded by the hum of the road, whipping past the speeding metallic hulks of your fellow community members, that YOU. WILL. WATCH, and the stars will surely guide your lens. May the crackling energy and the ringing call of platewatchery fill your skull and motivate your action for vanity plate appreciation. You have a job to do, and so do I. We need each other. And I need you to do this.
Platenation, we are taking over this country, and with your help, we’ll do it fast. We’ll spread our message far and wide until every American can call themselves a platewatcher, and they will see the world as we do. For the value we all bring to the human experience, we bestow upon this fractured world, peace, prosperity, connection, and love.
The whole shebang. In 7 character increments.
Platewatch 4 justice, platewatch for the earth, platewatch for a new world in the image of life.
Until then, we flick.
Song: Greydon Square - Cosmic Harvest
howdy platers
this whole situation is real fucked up isnt it?
i honestly dont even know what to say.
everything happening within this fragile nation is all just so deeply wrong, and all so wholly precedented within the lifetimes of our oldest generations alive today.
the divine arithmetic that makes up our universe loves all things that move in cycles.
stars, orbits, wavelengths, ambient cosmic radiation, and lonely homeworlds.
starting from the great implosion and coalescing over eons, the natural math of creation formed a careful web of interconnected, closed systems that drive the motion of what we call fate here on the great blue marble.
through careful study and several technological revolutions, we’ve learned to break down the mathematical exactitudes of the cycles of the natural world, with the hopes of one day understanding our place within its shining lights.
alas, if time goes on forever, then a recurring cycle is the only possibility for any coming future.
fortunately humanity holds the faculties and power to break such cycles, we were born with it, and it was inherited within us as stewards of the earth, winners of the evolutionary lottery.
we are creators just like the great cosmic math, because we are all made up of the residual dust from the first moment there ever was. at the very beginning of course.
do you guys remember? when we were all the mass of the universe together?compressed so tightly into an infinitesimally small point in a frigid void of nothing that we might as well have been the same?
i remember. we were holding hands.
and now we’re back together again.
platewatch as something between reality and cyberspace.
the open american road and its vanityenjoying constituents.
a group of wanderers searching for something to keep us going.
i think we’ve found it, and its right here.
i think its always been.

hope this one finds you well, it’ll be a short post, after all it’s quite late.
I’m keeping this under 250 words, as part of my experimentation for the future. not every platecaption needs to be a lesson in endurance, and oftentimes i wonder if they need to mean anything at all.
here’s an anecdote worth mentioning before we start, I actually already had something very nice written down earlier this morning about all that we’re used to here at platewatch, but by some strange twist of digital fate, my prior message was plucked and deleted from the black box that makes up my digital typewriter. poof! gone.
sometimes i tire of attempting to derive personal meaning and knowledge from such banal trivialities. It gets too easy to drag myself down when i suffer from something i could have easily avoided with invested effort.
maybe not everything is a lesson, and maybe not every misfortune holds such a gleaming, hidden truth.
I hope the energy-guzzling, carbon-caked, writhing and sucking heart of Meta’s digital conglomerate can feel the existential threat that our movement brandishes against it. may its subterranean memetic poison distributor understand some day what it feels like to be torn down brick by brick, byte by byte.
platewatch like a city on a hill, or a quiet enclave in a twisting maelstrom of digital strife. I pray you find your peace here online, within a community of your own engineering. this is yours as much as mine.

thanks for all the support you continue to provide to me and this silly plateproject. this movement is yours as much as mine, and I know you feel the swelling energy as well. memetic, culturally and interpersonally. something major is coming, and i want you here for it. you mean a lot to me🫶
in times of uncertainty in my life, and when faced with a choice where i struggle to pick the right path, i often look to the wisdom of plateflickery and the unflinching mechanisms of natural law to guide me towards the new day.
call it a lack of trust in my own judgement, or maybe something more academic, generalized anxiety.
one thing ive learned over the duration of my fleetingly short existence is that every diverging path, (much like that of the american superhighway infrastructure network), leads to a different experience and lifestyle, mutually exclusive with other roads, lanes or neighborly commuters. in some ways this is liberating, and in others, stifling
the truth is that before coming up that on-ramp, merging onto something new, or taking a convenient exit, we don’t know exactly what we’ll find along the path, or what’s at the end of it. traffic? clear roads? potholes? a funny plate? or a pileup?
sure, we might have a general idea of where we’re going beforehand, otherwise nobody would be able to get anywhere at all. there are systems and ambient wisdom in place to make these choices a little bit easier upon us
710 to long beach, yeah ok sure sounds like im going to long beach, but who will I meet along the way, what will i encounter, and how will i grow to fit this new experience within myself.
is there room left on that road for someone like me? is it truly what i want?
these are turbulent times, and in such dire circumstances regarding our own uncertainty of the future, it makes sense from a survival perspective to grab tight to the people you love and to hold on until either 1 the storm passes or 2 the world ends
but if everyone is rocking back and forth, hugging their legs, who’s going to drive this goddam car down the highway!
that would be you brave plater
trust yourself, you are more capable than you realize

thus begins the first day of many, in a stretch of many days to come
its a big monday today! and it feels sickly familiar to see reality tv running on every cable channel again. just like it used to be.
it feels like back when i was 15 and thought the american experiment was wholly normal, democratic, or precedented.
or something like that.
i dont pretend to know what’s going to happen for the next coming while, but i’d like to think that while some things will certainly change, many more will probably stay the same.
the history of our lands are rich, and the parts of who we have become may be inseparable from the fabric of the nation we have woven. the stretching sinew of america
the flag is stained, but can it be laundered?
this year, take pictures of vanity license plates and send them to me. when possible.
but also, and more importantly, have some meaningful resolutions. become ungovernable. rake clay from the earth and build something in the avatar of your imagination. speak death to doomerism and breath to intentionality.
who gives a HOT fuck anymore
its the end of the world, lets throw down like the hills are on fire,
and if it isnt the end, then it isnt!
keep going guy, i’ve got your back🙌

salutations plate nation!🔮🎉
heres a few lovely plates from this past week, plus some flicks of america’s #1 platers spreading their memetic influence in the city of angel’s most cosmopolitan and exclusive clubs and outlets. yk it already
but thats not even to mention the breaking waves of unadulterated swag rolling of my platewatching compatriots’ crown chakras, flickering sahasrara energies lighting up the interior of a sweltering silverlake venue better than any contemporary high-end light fixture might. the power of foreign-manufactured dropshipping apparel. 🙌
im certainly no expert, but it feels like platewatch merch adornment might just be the quickest way to fashion nirvana still available for those of us left behind by the rapture. jesus christ definitely would have worn a trucker hat, but a platewatch variety? still deliberating but lmk your thoughts.
getting back on track, i sincerely hope this platepost finds you well, in a professional tone, of course. today, may you be surrounded by minimal drama and quaint circumstance as you begin this cycle’s mindful motions and meditative mantras.
i mean ill come out and be the first to say it, its already a good morning, im about to go eat ribs and watch football! 😎🎉
on a related note, our first quarter memetic revenue projections for platewatch incorporated are looking very promising! and its all thanks to our stakeholders and plateinvestors. i truly couldnt ask for a better team.
moving forward, all i ask is that you guys maintain the good effort and plateproficiency. get out there and keep spreading the method, share it with friends, coworkers, patients, and find your own internal value from the subtle act of plateflickery.
everybody needs a hobby so they say, and i dont think there’s any better than this
so see you guys around! and keep at it!
special thanks to my friends for supporting the project and posing lovely-like for the brand. i am grateful for all of u out there.
much love 🫶
Song: The Wisconaut - Can't Kill A Cowboy
a message to all angelinos, near and far
there’s nothing to be said that can ease the collective pain and anxiety that racks this great basin and beyond tonight. here in the city of angels and automobiles, we are aching for our neighbors, loved ones, and members of the community who have lost their homes and memories, and some, even their lives.
after decades of destruction and pillaging upon our shared home, mother earth has finally raised her hand, and reminded us of our place and precarious balance enveloped within a rapidly changing biosphere.
i made this platepost to remind us all that this coming year will be filled with piercing moments of dread just like these ones, though not many more will be as pressing or urgent. you must be brave.
crisis will come to us in all walks of life and all manner of nature, and it will bring us great fear. but we are a resilient people. not quite children of the land as those who once stewarded it, but ready disciples of ecological humility. traitors of the status quo. social creatures of shared self-interest and a unique capacity for imagining, and building incredible things, together.
i say this because the civilian response i saw across the city in its most dire moments was nothing short of inspirational, and deeply moving. i knew that LA had cohesive mutual aid networks, but the scale of mobilization, and the ways in which we opened our homes and amenities to one another in such extreme circumstances seemed to me, representative of our capacity for a new way of living that may be incompatible with our present, value-oriented, extractive paradigm.
this means something. the marker of a new beginning. a page that cannot be unturned.
we will live to see it through, for we are the inheritors of the earth.
be safe and vigilant los angeles, you are destined for great things. and a new day.
Song: Junker - On The Run
whats up plate nation
hope everyone is doing alright 2day, thought id drop 3 nice little flicks for your memetic diet and emotional restitution. nothing like a good platepost to shake up the sucking monotony of our favorite depraved social media platform.
as always, I deeply appreciate the support from everyone out there swirling around the vanityplatesphere, growing every day online and off. your dedication and incorporation of the mantra of platewatchery into your life and others may just be the quickest path to enlightenment still available to us. at least to those those taking shaky breaths on the eve of apocalypse without a glass of champagne
to be frank, sometimes it feels like there isnt much more to be said that hasnt already been explored before. the human condition thoroughly exposed through literature over centuries and millennia. though, many would say that the eternal wisdom of the classics doesnt always last through to the present, considering the circumstances of our lives that is.
unless it does of course, last to the present, irregardless of technological advancement. that even when surrounded by the profoundly unique, and maximalist lived experience of modernity, the conditions of greed, fear, hope and hubris, are molded from the same unflinching clay that constitutes the theories of nature and math, baked into law in the hot kiln of change and strife. immutable from humanity itself. making us no separate from the historical cycles of which we study.
although it is important to remember, we are the hopes and ambitions of our ancestors given form, the walking manifestation of their struggles to survive, and their dreams for a brighter future. today we still hold them within us, but you alone can guide their hand, their spirits guiding your next actions with providence and divine intuition. hand over hand, minds melded in unity
so whatll it be everybody

Song: Microwave - but not often,
hey platers
lots of great plates out there in this wild world! many to flick and so many more to understand. both objectives we can only achieve when we learn to rely upon each other, just as we have for hundreds of thousands of years of the human experience. from the dawn of agriculture, to the advent of the 6 lane interstate highway.
by sheer practicality, we can’t possibly hope to flick every vanity on our lonesome, hence we rely upon the collective strength of our found (and intentionally constructed) community. thus is the philosophy and mantra of meditative platewatchery.
oftentimes it feels like the most tricky part of this whole pwatchin’ thing is internalization of the lessons of the road for application during moments most mundane. it’s the passing seconds between our strongest memories, the fast food drive-thru queues, grocery store wildlife solicitors, neighborly gossip, or the silent negotiations for a recently vacated strip mall parking space that give us, and our coagulated society, foundation.
through the idealism of platewatching, these circumstances are all just tinted lenses into the deeply romantic bespoiling of the american project. every individual a universe, and every moment a story. the binding mechanisms of our interactions between one another.
strangers one moment, clan-members the next. a found family of plateenjoyers with hearts tied together in motor oil and twisting twine.
truly, which is more powerful, the beauty of what we already posses, or the promise of what is to come?
america will survive, and with it, its people shall grow and mold themselves into a shining sky, tiny sparks of distant stars, forming great constellations of meaning and prose. on the open prairie, and the winding highway, linked as brotherly twins. nature and man, hand in hand.

nice little haul this week! ive got so many plates coming in i might as well take my time with theming them.
i love it when a good platepost mixes together the scattered messages of the open road into something just about coherent without the context.
three different drivers, three different vanities, one dissected human experience.
the american flag like a belly-up frog on a cold metal dish
you guys are getting real good at finding the words and phrases that matter out there on the prairie. it seems to me that overtime, platers really refine their vision and craft, aiming for only the highest quality of vanity. the honed skill of making a mundane moment into something meaningful, sounds to me like living!
so keep living then! and stick around. theres more good coming to our collective futures than just some banger plateposts (though of course that’s never guaranteed)
(also shoutout to the new members of the community keep it up you’ll be pros just yet)
see u guys at band class tmw🇺🇸🫶🪩
Song: Alice Phoebe Lou - Only When I
welcome platers, take a seat if youve got the time, kick back and unwind a little, bc life moves fast
feeling grateful for the community today and for living proof that collective action is possible to build something bright, even if just vanity license plate catalogue.
for that of course, i owe everything to the community, for their tireless support and fervent engagement in a steady increase of palpable memetic strength and influence.
together, with the power of platewatching and the truths/lessons adopted within, we will form relevant change in the struggle of our future. just as our mothers, grandfathers and ancestors before us did. history is truly a beautiful thing to behold, and today we hold the pen of the next human age with held breath and twitching fingers. hovering over pages and keyboards, trackpads and levers
but our role will be larger than we think now, and i know that because week after week our cherished platecommunity logs in to the brutal circumstances of western post-modern life, the dripping tentacles of corporate technocapital, foreign national misinformation campaigns, and crushing waves of climate and future apathy. they log in again and again for the simple act of enjoying silly vanities, and to share + delight in a hobby with value only to us. that has to count for something.
thats bc in our cities made of steel, imported sand and concrete, most of us are living it much worse than we should, given the unprecedented levels of wealth, resource abundance and amenities that surround us. whether online, at the store, on campus, in the office, and even in our own living rooms. weighted rhetoric drips through thatch and cracks in shingle above our heads.
(monday night football godbless you but you’re killing me softly)
week after week, we exercise our agency and intention to contribute to something bigger than ourselves, bigger than our jobs, and bigger than our own fleetingly short lives.
our craft is honed through time and curation, as we form something new together that we all touched and molded with our own fingers. a beautiful tapestry or vase, pot or painting.

as always, I'd like to start with a major thanks to the community we've founded, cultivated and watched grow to extraordinary heights (coming up on 2 years!) in what is blossomming into something much broader and much more significant than I think any one of us originally intended.
here at @plate_watch, it is our allegiance to the ultimate, eternal mantra of vanity catalog that brings us all together, platers and flickers of different creeds and lore. coalesced through divine providence and collaborative destiny. though some of us are divided by vast distances across the material realm, the living magic of the information superhighway (granted to us by the military industrial complex of a prior american age, shout out😎), has granted us a generational opportunity that we cannot afford to squander. with the power we hold together, our clasped hands have pulled an ancient blade from twitching rock, and invigorated us to conquer in a quest to heal this fractured land.
but the sharp blade of digital content cuts our own hands just the same as it cuts the locks of tyranny, a dripping, serrated edge of apathy and circumstantial nihilism derivative of the present proliferation of content trash.
to me at least, it feels that when enveloped in the suffocating circumstance of our contemporary cultural backslide, health and happiness are to be found in the stability of unflinching minutia. here in the city, this comes in the community and connection we find in closet-sized spice markets, stranger-induced elevator intimacy, and dollar pizza by the slice.
in case you were wondering, I'm currently broadcasting platerhetoric from the eternal hub of consumer identity, the great pumping economic heart of turtle island, uhhhhh.. (checks notes).. new amersterdam
much to see and much more to smell
there's quite a bit more that could be said ab such a settlement that would all fit wonderfully within a platecaption, but I think we're about to hit the word limit and I still need to go out and get a bagel with egg and cheese somewhere in the towering sprawl
keep fighting plate warriors, our trials are just beginning, and we'll meet them at the gates
Song: Durand Jones & The Indications - Love Will Work It Out
history is immutable, and history tells us that love conquers all, even the most vile contempt and the most clenching of fear
but that same love within us all is never passive, it yearns to breathe free. it pulls at its rusted chains with ever-determination, for it knows it is pre-destined for more than just confinement, but for divine prospect.
because what we oftentimes forget when enveloped in terrifying times is that love is a burning, all-consuming thing that wails and writhes deep in the heart and in the mind. it is a driver of decisive action and an anchor of unflinching hope.
for all the fear we hold in our present future remember this: the human condition will never change so dramatically that our grandmother’s stories will hold no reverence.
Her life is your life, her memories are your future, and her tears fall heavy from your own shining eyes.
tomorrow we’ll wake and nothing will feel much different. the wind will blow, the leaves will shake, and the sun will rise again on a new day, one of untapped potential.
but something is different. something has ticked over within the beating chest of all of us.
let this moment be a flashpoint in the abolition of our contemporary apathy. from today on, there will be no more wasted days in the fight for our shared future.
fascism, authoritarianism, fear and division will NOT rule this united states. we’ve been through too much, and the people suffered too strongly for this chapter of our history to turn its page in a single night.
as these weeks turn to months and months to years, remember to hold tight and to love one another. channel your rage and anxiety into connection and collaboration. for in this new world we find ourselves in, survival is paramount because
living is the ultimate resistance
god bless you all, and have strength.
tomorrow i’ll be here and so will you,
and that just might be enough

Song: Mt. Joy - Let Loose
hail and well met plate crusaders.
over this past week my compatriot and I have been traversing these golden highways of lore with contemporary expediency and comfort. those before us took this historic road upon the backs of great beasts, free-running children of the land, made shackled by anthropogenic innovation and competitive necessity.
at such speed bestowed upon us by the modern era’s indomitable automobile, the sliding view of the mountains and desert gravel meld together into a throbbing homogenous maroon shade of earth and soul. the master hue coagulated of all that is alive and that which is not.
turns out that deep within the arid badlands, ancient rainforest trees were compressed over hundreds of millions years into scintillating stone, refracting the rays of our great star in perfect mathematical harmony. over time (and several hundred of feet of accumulated sediment), crystal networks replaced the organic cells one by one, transforming a once living avatar of god into an encasement of jewelery.
i wonder, does the soul of this tree yet remain within its dazzling trunk?
does the viscous soul of the ancient velociraptor still slosh and splash within my fuel tank? honestly who cares
“the man” keeps telling us that logging out is good for the brain and for the heart. personally idgaf it feels like real life is basically twitter now anyways and when i’m online at least i can click to block moronic attack ads i disagree with
eat shit tech billionaires and all u e/acc chumps i’ll see you in the mf sand pit i got a weighted net and a three-pronged spear for your unpatriotic treasonous ass
be safe everybody see u guys after the season finale closes up, here’s hoping it doesnt become a multi-month deal so we can all just try to move on with our lives with some kind of mutual decency and respect.

whats good platers
hope everyone has been doing well even in my absence, though it seems that the tide of submissions have not waned in the slightest, and for that i am grateful. contributors in every corner of this fair nation, and even abroad. spread thinly and and yet, concentrated in some of america’s greatest cities, flicking and picking and notating our lives by the moments between, the commutes, the jaunts betwixt. these concrete labyrinths and residencies are testaments to the cultural power of the automobile, its unshakeable influence upon our daily lives, and the amenities we can no longer bear to live without.
the information age has brought us unprecedented levels of comfort and dutifully earned complacency. it truly wasnt that long ago (by geologic time at least) that we were chasing gazelle on the savannah with handheld rocks, jogging after them for an entire day and then carrying it back to the clan. our ancestors truly GRINDED to bring about the era of living simplicity and food security, but instead we got something different than they hoped for. cell carrier customer service lines, same-day shipping, build-your-own mexican rice bowls serviced by drone, industrialized allergy medication, giant refrigerators filled with imported beer, 20$ full gram hybrid carts, uber for my hot chicken wrapped in two layers of ecologically impervious plastic wrap.
but suspended above our homes by towering pillars, the freeways of this wicked nation rake through the sky and earth like jagged nails.
the beautiful american expanse, the great plains, the twin rivers and twitching valleys, upgraded to their penultimate form, asphalt. do we all truly believe that this is still the undisputed technological endpoint of human transportation? is there nowhere left to run?
as according to Fukuyama, at the end of history, time unfortunately ticks onwards, and new pages are glued into the concluding story of humanity every day. just as each platedrop comes to us like manna atop the sand, the moment of its flickage long-gone and ephemeral. our work together, can preserve such a moment, and revive it into a lesson for others. there is no softer fate for rhetoric.

s3riously some banger plates this week so as always, thank you all for your continued contributions, thoughts, compassion, dedication and synchronized anxiety.
there's truly nothing i'd rather be doing with my life than sitting here on this little log by the rushing river (meta calls this a 'content stream') and showing you my weathered album full a' flicks and giggles galore.
im out here hustling on that digital footprint as per usual. when everything you make is carved upon cyberstone tablets, it's in your best interest to do your finest work whenever time you can
after all, we wouldn't want those future data archeologists to be bored by a lackluster archive! I want those irradiated freaks laughing and kicking their feet in their bunkers and whatnot
platewatch. instagram. beeps, bops, and individual bytes, etched in binary. on each server farm and keyboard stroke, touchpad and lockscreen
I hope that through this account and through the community we've formed here in the maw of a truly wicked social media hellscape, those same irradiated freaks might just see and understand how filled with love each of us who interact here on instagram truly are, we are children of stars and our social media posts children of light and mathematics. I hope this truth won't be forgotten, when the sky finally grows too dense and heavy with carbon for the once enduring, and immortal Altas to hold.
yeah whatever chronically online doomerist didn't you see those rich, tech/crypto bro guys on twitter with that e/acc stuff in their bio said that at the technological singularity within our lifetime, AI will reach a tipping point of self-improving algorithmic, logistical and mathematical intelligence. and by then, Halo 3's Cortana should be able to wield the power of the planet's means of economic and material production, executing it's plan to geoenginner us back to the Holocene.
a nice and pleasant 280 CO2 ppm, through simple chatbot inquiry.

i’d thank you all again for your submissions but u guys know your own worth and value to the great plateproject, priceless. 💸 there’s nothing more that can be said for my gratitude towards this community that you don’t already know, flicks and stones, plates and bones
another wednesday and we keep posting, the wheels keep spinning and the sun blazes hotter still. its clear that nothing can step between us and our divine providence + mission.
we’ll still be plateposting when the birds drop from the sky like stones, the trees twitch from crackling embers and the moon cries out in pain from thermonuclear payload
grateful as always for this life we all live together hand in hand. even more so grateful knowing that youd all be there twist my wrist if need be. to draw my blood through fissured skin, like glacial moulins of rushing rivers. we all need a little pain sometimes to teach us what joy cannot.
platewatching is a great teacher in the practices of meditation, patience, consciousness, and decisive action. these are lessons our contributors are already well aware of, and each somewhere on the path towards their eventual destination, just over the horizon.
thanks all for everything you do to keep our little experiment going, more to come and more to flick as usual
